Reflecting on My Interview with Nick Atzeni – Emotional Intelligence

I’m truly grateful to Nick Atzeni for inviting me to take part in his interview series. It was a pleasure to share my thoughts on a topic that is central to both my professional and coaching journey: Emotional Intelligence.

In our conversation, we explored how soft skills and human connection play a vital role not only in the business world but also on the football pitch – especially when working with young athletes. Whether it’s engaging with colleagues in a corporate environment or mentoring players as a youth coach, the ability to foster trust, empathy, and clarity is what makes sustainable growth possible.

We discussed the parallels between company leaders and sports coaches, and how both are called to inspire, guide, and empower others through communication and experience. Emotional Intelligence, I believe, is not a bonus – it’s the foundation.
